Freedom
Be empty of worrying. Think of who created thought! Why do you stay in prison when the door is so wide open? ~Rumi
Freedom is the pulse of the human spirit, the very air in which the soul breathes and finds its true form. Freedom is not merely the absence of chains, or the breaking of external laws. It is the discovery of the spiritual laws that govern our being, the knowing that we have the freedom to create the world we desire to live in. Freedom holds the power to follow the instincts of the heart, the wisdom of the soul, and the call of one’s highest purpose!
It is in nature that we first learn the language of freedom. The wind does not ask for permission to blow, nor does the river seek approval to flow. They are the very embodiment of what it means to be free: to exist without restraint, to be in harmony with the laws of all existence. Living in freedom means living a life unshackled by fears or conventions of society and unburdened by the petty desires that seek to enslave us!
True freedom is not found in the indulgence of the ego but in the surrender to the greater whole. It is the freedom of the mind, which seeks to understand; it is the freedom of the spirit, which seeks to unite. The chains that bind us are not made of iron, but of thought—of the belief that we are limited, that we must adhere to the dictates of a world that does not treasure the power of being.
We become truly free when we learn to stand in our own light and trust the voice that speaks from within. Freedom is not a gift granted by society or government, but a right born in the depths of our own being. It is the unyielding belief that we, in our purest expression, are boundless.
