Music and Light

We have fallen into the place where everything is music. ~Rumi

I love world music with its great diversity of styles and nuances. Each country, each region has its own vibrational soundscape that reveals its topology and contours. The unique spirit of the different mountains, valleys and rivers is expressed in its typical melodies. Music is the ink flowing through the fountain pen of time through which Spirit itself lovingly embeds its feelings into its own consciousness. Listening to the tunes of the world I find tremendous energy, passion, joy and a simple zest for Life. This musical vibration invites me to explore my inner landscape on an even deeper level.

The composer Franz Schubert once said: “All Music begins and ends in silence.” Indeed the secret of any great piece of music is how it sculpts silence with sound. Music is neither image nor word yet it can create and reveal to us clearly defined worlds; evoke feelings, emotions, thoughts and even beliefs deeply held within us. Music can make our inner guidance system tangible even though we cannot see or touch music. In the same way, we cannot touch or see the essence of Spirit but we can experience It within our human form.

When I listen to music I remind myself that there is always more to explore within my being. I am the conductor of my own life and I can shine my light into not yet explored crevasses, mountains and planes of my wonderful inner landscape. There is nothing to fear because this is the place where my own symphony plays. This is the music of Spirit which out-pictures as my life. Whether it is the dissonance that pushes me onward or the harmony that invites me to rest in its embrace; I AM light sculpted out of the infinite potentiality of silence.

Affirmation:

Today I joyously celebrate the music that I am! I shine my Light brighter than ever, because I let Spirit play Its symphony as my Life!
