The Vision of the Garment

May 31, 2012

And they were begging him that they may touch if only the hem of his garment, and those who touched were healed. ~Matthew 14:36 (Aramaic Bible in Plain English)

As a child growing up I had a vision that, as I went through my day, I left a trail behind, something that is colorful and solid as a rope. As I met other people, who created their colorful rope as they moved through their day, a knot was woven into both ropes where they met. It did not have to be an actual conversation, a simple smile also created a new knot.

As a child these ropes looked like a metro map to me. Over the years I forgot about them until recently. This time I saw the vision of a wonderful fabric made of the most beautiful colors of Divine substance. Each human being is weaving a unique thread as we each move through our physical experience as powerful co- creators in the Spirit.

While I observed the creation of my own thread, I heard some of my co-weavers say: “Why am I this dark color, I should be as silvery and golden as the one over here!” or “Why am I this bright color, I should have more contrast like the one over there!” While I continued to weave my thread, my vision expanded and I was able to see a beautiful garment being created while everyone was co-creating it. All colors were necessary and welcomed in Its creation!

Suddenly the expression in the Bible to “touch if only the hem of his garment” had a complete new meaning for me. We are conscious co-creators in God, weaving threads of Love into Its divine garment. God is here, because we are here! When we stand in this Truth, every one we come in contact with can touch the hem of the garment.

Affirmation:

Today I freely weave my colorful thread as a divine co-creator in Spirit. I let the garment of the Divine be created in, as and through my very own life.
